General Ophthalmology

The sytem works with a good approach towards general ophthlamology which is the 90 percent of population covering zone. The OPD works from mondays to thursdays – Every Friday the peripheral center works at niphad. And saturday special concessional OPD service is given by MEH.

The cataract surgerys mainly the manual phaco and the phacoemulsiphication, microincision cataract surgery are carried out daily from 7 am to 11 am.

The high quality and advanced instrumental phaco are of two types – 2.8 mm and 1.8 mm microincisiion phaco. The department is supported by highly trained staff in refraction and counseling, OT assistance. The Average statistics of the operation carried per month is – 310 surgeries including all categories.
